Welcome to the website of JAMES WEST, Virginia Beach's hardest rocking Irish performer, and a founding member of The Sporting Paddies. James is a regular performer at venues in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, inlcuding MO & O'MALLEY'S IRISH PUB. He sings an inspiring mix of traditional ballads, rowdy drinking songs and modern favorites, and he boasts one of the largest collections of Irish Rebel songs in the area.  His specialty is the high-energy Irish stylings of The Pogues and Flogging Molly, which he deftly re-works for the solo acoustic guitar.  Whether you just need to unwind with a good drink and a song, or you need to let it all out with a raucous sing-a-long, you will find all that you desire at the WILD WEST SHOW!

James has also branched out into the realm of pirate entertainment. He is the Ship's Musician for The Moody Crewe, the most sought after pirate living history group in Southeastern Virginia.

James is a second generation Irish-American whose family hails from County Down, Northern Ireland. He has been performing now for over a decade. He brings a unique voice to many Irish favorites, but is best known for injecting his shows with a modern edge and energy. Don't be afraid to make any request. If he cannot play it now, he just might add it in the future!
